IT Summer Student

Position Summary:

Reporting into the Manager, Application Development, we are seeking an enthusiastic IT Summer Student to join our Information Technology team. This position is ideal for a student pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, who is eager to gain hands-on experience in application development. The primary responsibility will be to develop applications using Neptune DXP SAP Edition, contributing to our digital transformation initiatives.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement applications using Neptune DXP SAP Edition, following best practices and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to understand business requirements and translate them into functional applications.
  • Conduct testing to identify bugs and ensure software quality.
  • Document the development process, including code comments, technical specifications, and user manuals.
  • Assist in integrating Neptune DXP applications with SAP systems and other third-party services.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving application development processes and practices.
  • Stay up to date with the latest developments in Neptune DXP, SAP technologies, and relevant software development tools and methodologies.

Required Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Familiarity with Neptune DXP SAP Edition or a strong willingness to learn.
  • Experience in Java, or .NET a plus.
  • Basic understanding of SAP systems and landscape.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS, and OOP principles.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Previous experience in application development is a plus.
