This prevents selective feeding, which is very common with seed based diets and mixes. This food is rich in essential vitamins and nutrients that young, pregnant, or lactating rats, or mice of all ages, need to thrive. This food is not intended for mature rats that are over the age of 6 months. Afterwards, older rats should be fed Oxbow Essentials Adult Rat Food.
