What’s a turkey saddle? A turkey saddle protects the hen’s back from the tom’s claws and spurs during breeding. If your girls are losing feathers due to an amorous tom, a saddle can help prevent further feather loss and injury. Sometimes they are also called chicken aprons or hen saddles or hen aprons. Chicken and turkey saddles are made to order on demand. I make them in my smoke-free home, from new indoor/outdoor upholstery fabric, so they are made to last for years and years. No thin cotton here! These saddles are also free from dangerous embellishments, such as lace, that birds can get their toes caught in. You will receive a randomly selected colour/pattern. Price includes shipping by lettermail.
