Construction is on track at all three of the new UFA locations being built.
Red Deer Farm & Ranch Supply store and Petroleum Agency
This past May, UFA celebrated the announcement of a new Farm & Ranch Supply store and Cardlock in Red Deer. Members of UFA's Senior Leadership Team and Red Deer County officials donned shovels and broke ground and since then a lot has happened. Construction of the site is on schedule and the exterior skins of the retail store, drive-through shed and chem shed are being installed. The Cardlock underground tanks are also installed on the petroleum side. The new store will have 12,000 square feet of retail space and an expansive yard. The future Cardlock will feature state-of-the-art high-speed pumps with clear and dyed fuel, wide lanes, DEF, and Dieselex® Gold, UFA's exclusive premium diesel offering.
Members and customers will be able to access the new Farm Store and Cardlock conveniently located in Gasoline Alley in the southwest corner of the city, easily accessible for drivers travelling either way on the QE2 and those on the west side coming from Highway 2A.
Dunmore, AB and Corman Park, SK Petroleum Agencies
Construction of the Corman Park UFA Petroleum Agency is progressing as planned. The newest Saskatchewan location is located approximately 20 kilometres west of Saskatoon off Highway 16, in the Rural Municipality of Corman Park. It is located in a key area for the province's agribusiness and industrial economy. In addition to being close to Saskatoon, it is located near fast-growing cities like Warman and Martinsville, and the Town of Dalmeney.
Recently, UFA welcomed Dustin and Paige Wiebe as the new Agents for the site, both grew up in the Saskatoon area and are well-known and respected in the community.
Dustin grew up in the Osler area north of Saskatoon and has years of experience in both the transportation and petroleum industries. He also owns New Vision Ag, a company that supplies feed, twine, netwrap, silage covers, lubricants, equipment and more to dairy and ag producers in the surrounding communities. Dustin has a reputation for providing exceptional service and has developed outstanding relationships with his agricultural customers.
Paige grew up in the Saskatoon area and attended the University of Saskatchewan where she obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy. She has worked in both rural and urban community pharmacies and her current practice is in the city of Saskatoon.
Both Dustin and Paige are active community members and UFA is thrilled to welcome them to the co-operative as the newest Petroleum Agents in Saskatchewan.
Construction is on track with schedules at both Dunmore and Corman Park sites. Some of the recent construction milestones include:
- Asphalt completed at both locations in late September.
- Cardlock dispensers are installed.
- Offices and warehouse construction are largely complete.
Our expansion project is a significant investment in the local communities where we do business. UFA is committed to continuous improvement and investing in the communities it serves, and the new sites being constructed demonstrate that commitment.
