Product Information
Brown's Milk Replacer Grower is designed to feed calves at any age. Brown’s is formulated with all milk protein and blended fats-including coconut oil- for higher usability. Directions for feeding offer the best results for the calf and value for the farmer. Milk replacers should be mixed in hot (170°F) water for the fat to melt and become more usable to the calf. The melting process also bonds the fat to the protein. When a calf drinks, the milk goes into the abomasum, where it coagulates. The liquid is absorbed by the stomach walls, while the remaining curd proceeds to the intestines. For the curd to form, the product must be 100% milk protein, the dilution must be 12.5% dry matter (1 cup powder: 1 litre dry solution) and the fat must be melted and bonded to the protein.
