We are pleased to announce our second quarter winners of UFA's Top Hand winners. This program recognizes AgriBusiness team members who provide extraordinary levels of service to internal and external customers. Congratulations to the three peer-nominated winners for the past quarter:
Emily Stoesz, CSSR1, Grimshaw Farm & Ranch Supply
Top Hand Winner – North
The Grimshaw Farm & Ranch Supply store received their chick orders on June 12 this year. All customers were contacted and picked up their chicks, with the exception of one. Unfortunately, the farm store could not reach this final customer to advise them that their chicks/turkeys had arrived and were waiting to be picked up. At the end of the day, Emily went above and beyond and volunteered to take the chicks/turkeys home to ensure they would make it through the night. Emily has her own chicks/turkeys and all the supplies to care for them at home. The next morning the very happy and thankful customer was able to pick up his order of chicks/turkeys, finding them in very good condition thanks to Emily's care and thoughtfulness.
Duncan Goddard, CSSR2, Camrose Farm & Ranch Supply
Top Hand Winner – Central
Duncan is the true meaning of a Top Hand; he is not a one and done person. He has stepped up and filled many roles during the last seven months at various UFA locations. Duncan's willingness to learn, and drive to succeed has made him such a valuable asset to UFA.
The Camrose farm store is currently under renovation and Duncan has taken the lead store role in this project helping organize the tear down, move, reassembly and merchandising part of the project. He was there when Stettler needed yard help in early May and then travelled to Ponoka the following week when they needed help. It was off to Vermillion next when they were in need of a "milk truck" driver and yard worker. You guessed it, Duncan was there to fill the need.
In early June, Duncan was one of the individuals selected to go to Red Deer to start building the yard at the new store. He will remain in Red Deer at various capacities until he moves back to Camrose where he will be covering for the regular receiver who will be leaving for vacation. Duncan has three beautiful girls and an amazing spouse at home. He and his family are making sacrifices to serve UFA. This is a true Top Hand.
Duncan Davies, Truck Driver, Medicine Hat Farm & Ranch Supply
Top Hand Winner – South
Duncan Davies has been a driver based out of the Medicine Hat Farm & Ranch Supply store since October 2023, also supporting Brooks and Taber for deliveries and transfers. He started working in the yard and jumped on the opportunity to become driver. His commitment to safety is top tier, entering his Field Level Hazard Assessments (FLHAs) into Velocity without any follow-up and has been commended for his quality of corrective actions on more than one occasion.
Customer service is also one of Duncan's strengths, planning and coordination of deliveries, and care for their personal property as a focus. Here is one of the most recent customer service feedback statements received:
"Hello, we just had a 10 by 10 shed delivery today from UFA Medicine Hat. I just wanted to reach out and let you all know it was absolutely flawless. The purchase was done by Darren and I am not sure who did the delivery (Duncan) but he was awesome as well. Please, if possible, pass this on to the great folks at Medicine Hat UFA, they rock."
