UFA Announces New Nisku Cardlock as Distribution Centre Construction Advances

UFA is making significant investments in Alberta's future, advancing critical infrastructure that will strengthen its supply chain, enhance customer access and support long-term growth across the province.

As part of this momentum, UFA is proud to announce the construction of a new unmanned Cardlock facility in Nisku, located in Leduc County near the co-operative's future Distribution Centre. Positioned in one of Alberta's busiest industrial corridors, the new Cardlock will improve accessibility for commercial customers while strengthening UFA's logistics network in a key region.

Designed for reliability and ease of use, the Nisku Cardlock will feature above-ground fuel storage, modern dispensing equipment and advanced card reader technology to support efficient, self-serve fuelling. The site will offer Clear Diesel, Dieselex® Gold, Clear Gas and DEF, ensuring customers have consistent access to the fuel products they need to keep operations running. The Cardlock is scheduled to open in October 2026.

This announcement builds on continued progress at UFA's new Distribution Centre, currently under construction at the same site. First announced last year, the purpose-built facility will span approximately 200,000 square feet and include 17 acres of yard space, significantly expanding UFA's storage capacity and operational capability.

Once complete, the Distribution Centre will play a critical role in modernizing how product moves across the UFA network. Designed to support long-term growth, it will enable more centralized operations, improve productivity through modern infrastructure, and enhance the day-to-day experience for UFA team members. Construction is expected to be completed in late 2026, with operations transitioning in 2027.

Together, the Distribution Centre and Cardlock represent a coordinated, forward-looking investment in UFA's network, one that combines long-term capability with immediate, on-the-ground access for customers. These projects will strengthen UFA's ability to deliver reliable service, improve efficiency across the system and continue providing value to members and customers across Alberta.
