Closing Part of the UFA's commitment to building and sustaining a financially strong co-operative.
United Farmers of Alberta Co-operative Ltd. ("UFA") announced today the closure of its Pincher Creek Farm and Ranch Supply Store. The Pincher Creek Store will cease operations on December 7, 2018.
"Closing our Pincher Creek store was a difficult business decision made after a thorough review by our senior leadership team in conjunction with our Board of Directors. We sincerely appreciate the contributions our employees at this location have made over the years and note that our decision today is not a reflection of their performance or efforts," said Carol Kitchen, UFA President and Chief Executive Officer.
Kitchen emphasized that today's announcement is aligned with UFA's commitment to building and sustaining a financially strong co-operative. "Our organization remains committed to reinvesting in its core businesses of agriculture and petroleum products and services in order to deliver value to our customers and members," said Kitchen. "UFA remains committed to providing alternative service options for our members and customers in the Pincher Creek region and we are confident that they can be served through our Lethbridge and Claresholm stores."
The store will remain open for two weeks in order to continue serving UFA members and customers until its official closing date of day, December 7, 2018. The UFA Petroleum Agency at the Pincher Creek will remain in operation and will not be affected by this store closure.
