UFA is taking a proactive approach to the future of agriculture by investing in the next generation of farmers. The co-operative is proud to announce the launch of a new scholarship program aimed at supporting post-secondary students interested in agriculture.
UFA recognizes the important role that agriculture plays and the challenges that future farmers will face. The scholarship program is truly a win-win. Not only will it help ease the financial burden of pursuing higher education for students who are passionate about agriculture and committed to making a positive impact in the sector, it also provides summer employment and mentorship opportunities, with access to industry experts to help students achieve their goals and develop the skills needed to succeed in agriculture.
The scholarship will be open to students enrolled full-time post-secondary study in a diploma or degree and students will be eligible to receive a $1,000 scholarship for accepting a summer position at UFA, in Alberta or Saskatchewan.
Starting next year, students returning to the program for a second term of employment in any capacity at UFA will be eligible to receive a $1,500 scholarship.
