UFA Staying in the Curling Game

UFA to throw our support behind a newly formed men's team for the 2022- 26 season.

This past spring saw a major shake-up in the sport of curling with a number of top teams across Canada changing their rosters in anticipation and in preparation for the four-year cycle leading to the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympics. As part of these changes, Team Koe, who UFA has sponsored over the past eight years, announced the team would be going in separate directions following the end of the 2021-22 season.

Following this announcement, UFA learned an exciting new men's team has joined forces and we are thrilled to announce that we intend to sponsor Alberta based Team Bottcher (Brendan Bottcher, Marc Kennedy, Brett Gallant and Ben Hebert) for the upcoming season.

The new team has committed to the next four years together with the goal to represent Canada at the next Olympic Games. UFA is proud to be supporting this high-performance team as they represent Alberta across the country and internationally at curling's major championships, on their quest to capture the ultimate gold in Milano Cortina 2026.

We would be remiss if we didn't once again thank Team Koe for an amazing eight years of excitement and adventure as they proudly wore our UFA logo on their chest. We are thrilled to stay connected with the always-entertaining Ben Hebert as a great ambassador for the sport and our brand. And will welcome Marc Kennedy back as both he and Hebert played with Kevin Koe.

The new Team Bottcher is going to be an exciting one to watch through the upcoming season. Brendan Bottcher skipped his team to the 2021 Tim Hortons Brier win last year in Calgary with all four members boasting numerous championship titles and medals.

We will share further details on the team's schedule as the start of the season draws closer.
