The best men's curlers in the country are in tight competition as the season heats up on the road to Montana's Brier presented by AGI, held in Kelowna, British Columbia, at the end of February. Montana's Brier presented by AGI, Canada's national men's curling championship, is one of the most coveted titles in the sport. For Team Jacobs, the road to the Brier is filled with intense competition and rigorous training. With UFA's support, they are more equipped than ever to face the challenge ahead. The sponsorship provides the team with the resources they need to train, travel, and compete at the highest level.
The team includes skip, Brad Jacobs; third, Marc Kennedy, second, Brett Gallant and lead, Ben Hebert. Together, the members are a venerable powerhouse team. All four men of Team Jacobs have represented Canada at the Olympic Winter Games. Jacobs skipped Canada to gold in 2014 while Kennedy and Hebert earned gold on home ice with skip Kevin Martin at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Games. Kennedy and Hebert returned in 2018 with skip Kevin Koe and finished fourth. Gallant claimed bronze with skip Brad Gushue in 2022, and Kennedy also earned another Olympic medal as their alternate team member.
Jacobs has captured the Brier once, Kennedy is a three-time Canadian champion, Gallant and Hebert have each won four.
They have also earned a combined 52 Grand Slam of Curling titles. Kennedy leads the pack with 17, Jacobs has seven while both Gallant and Hebert hold 14.
The 2025 Montana's Brier presented by AGI in Kelowna takes place from February 28-March 9 and can be watched on TSN. Following the Brier is the 2025 BKT Tires World Men's Curling Championship in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, from March 29-April 6. Viewers can tune in on TSN for what is sure to be some exciting curling!
