UFA is reinforcing its commitment to long term member value by sharing its 2026 Patronage Promise, providing upfront guidance on eligible purchases that will earn patronage in the year ahead.
The Patronage Promise reflects UFA's co operative approach, supporting members today while continuing to invest in service, infrastructure and supply chain strength across Western Canada.
"Planning is essential in agriculture," said Fred Thun, President and CEO. "The Patronage Promise gives members greater certainty and transparency so they can make informed decisions throughout the year."
Patronage Promise (2027 Payout for eligible 2026 Purchases*):
- 6.5 cents per litre on Dieselex® Gold
- 5.5 cents per litre on Diesel
- 1 cent per litre on gasoline
- $20 per bag on canola seed (bag or bag equivalent)**
- 3% on other eligible purchases made in 2026***
Subject to UFA Board approval and ratification by the Assembly. * Minimum purchase(s) of $5,000 combined on all categories to qualify for patronage. ** Bag or bag equivalent. *** Exclusions include: Fuel, Canola seed, select Micro Technologies Feedlot Solutions products, select petroleum products, bulk fertilizer (other than micronutrients) and leased purchases.
Eligible purchases span a range of products, including fencing, feed, livestock equipment, herbicide, fungicide and seed treatment.
Patronage Promise information will also be available in the UFA App, giving members real-time access to view and track their Patronage and Equity, all in one place.
